Black Bean Salsa

Prep time: 15 minutes

What you need:

  • 1 onion, peeled and finely chopped
  • 4 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 15-ounce can of black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 11-ounce can of white corn, drained
  • 1 14-ounce can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 4-ounce can of diced chiles, drained
  • juice of 1/2 lime

Equipment and supplies:

  • knife for chopping (you'll need help from an adult)
  • a medium bowl
  • spoon for mixing

What to do:

  1. Have an adult help you prepare all the ingredients (chopping, opening cans etc.)
  2. Combine all ingredients.
  3. Serve with baked tortilla chips.
